Edward C. Prescott
Edward Christian Prescott (lahir 26 Disember 1940) ialah seorang ahli ekonomi Amerika. Beliau menerima Hadiah Peringatan Nobel dalam Sains Ekonomi pada tahun 2004, berkongsi anugerah dengan Finn E. Kydland, "untuk sumbangannya kepada makroekonomi dinamik: konsistensi dasar ekonomi dan daya penggerak di belakang kitaran perniagaan". Penyelidikan ini dijalankan terutamanya semasa Kydland dan Prescott bergabung dengan Sekolah Pentadbiran Perindustrian Pentadbiran (sekarang Sekolah Perniagaan Tepper) di Universiti Carnegie Mellon. Mengikut kedudukan IDEAS/RePEc, beliau ialah ahli ekonomi paling popular ke-19 di dunia pada hari ini.[1] Pada Ogos 2014, Prescott telah dilantik sebagai Profesor Ekonomi Cemerlang di Universiti Nasional Australia (ANU) di Canberra, Australia.
