Faruj Rural District (Persian: دهستان فاروج) is in the Central District of Faruj County, North Khorasan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Cheri.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 7,488 in 1,947 households.[5] There were 7,246 inhabitants in 2,125 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 6,963 in 2,226 households. The most populous of its 32 villages was Cheri, with 2,087 people.[2]
